Head Down Charge Forward

Longest sigh ever.............here I am. Back where I started six years ago in 2012, heavier than I ever thought. So much has happened in six years, good, great, bad, worse & ugly. Yet again I'm faced with being the only one who can change my life. Working around a horrible injury, I've had to be humbled.  Lifting heavy is  minimum now, more focus on keeping this body flexible and moving. I've fought for months (ask any close friend)  about my journey with yoga. I love it, hate it, push it to back burner frequently, till now. I hurt all over, and more inflexible than ever. Have fought the thought of making yoga a priority for years. I gotta fix this hot body who's hiding in a tub of fat. Some of you may know, that I had great success the last time I was 300 pounds with a home work out program called P90X by beachbody.com. They have a yoga series that I've bought and am waiting for it to arrive next week. It's called three week yoga retreat. I am 100% committed to this I've arty been changing my diet. Drinking more water. And fighting off a double ear infection and a sinus affection. I just want to share my thoughts in my journey because maybe somebody out there has gone to the same thing or is it going to the same thing that I am.  Here's to you, here's to us, head down charge forward . 

My Beauty Guru......Sam I Am

 

 I have been fortunate in my 44 years that I really haven't felt the need to wear foundation or powder. I have super oily skin and the thought of another layer of uck on my face was not appealing. In recent months I noticed some unevenness in my skin tone and a bit of redness. With a gazillion different products on the market I wasn't sure where to go. And to be honest I didn't want to spend a ton of money since this was my first rodeo in like 25 years. I've been friends with a beautiful powerlifter named Samantha for around two years now. She's around 20 years younger than me and her makeup always looks gorgeous. I quickly messaged her and asked if she minded sharing what she used or had recommendations. Her response was like mana from Heaven, and was exactly along the lines I was hoping. Sam is a drugstore beauty product lover, you don't have to spend a ton of money to look fabulous. I will post pics below of what she suggested, she even sent me pics so I knew what to look for at the store. Since starting to use this I've gotten so many compliments, I'm rather flattered. Then on the other hand, did I look that bad and didn't notice?? HA! Anywho, here it is. Covergirl Outlast foundation retail at store was $9.97, Covergirl Professional loose powder, retail $5.97, she suggested the ELF brand stipple brush to apply the foundation (get this it's amazing) and also the ELF brand large powder brush. Just like Sam had said, it last me throughout my workday and then after during my gym time. And in case you didn't know this is my first post in a long time so bear with me as I fine tune my settings etc. So many thank to Sam for taking a few minutes out of her day to help out this old gal.
